You are invited to attend the Department of Theatre’s fall production of Spring Awakening, with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, directed by Adjunct Assistant Professor Lisa Berger and Postdoctoral Faculty Wilfred Paloma.

Synopsis

Set in 1891 Germany, the musical follows a group of students navigating adolescence without meaningful guidance from the adults around them. As Melchior, Wendla, and Moritz confront emerging desires, uncertainty, and the pressures of growing up, the story offers a powerful look at youth, repression, and resilience.
