Hi all,
A new STEM building is in the works and planning is occurring now through Feb. 2025, with construction planned for completion by Fall 2027. So ideas are needed now! Note that this new building may not directly solve all of the space issues for College science/math departments in Saints and SCST, but we could create new spaces that expand our teaching capabilities and allow existing spaces to potentially be reconfigured.
Thanks to everyone for attending and contributing ideas at Monday's forum. If you couldn't attend or want a recap of what was discussed, here's a collection of ideas that came out of that forum (attached). Note that we have a full list of everything that was written down and shared out, and that this document just summarizes some of the main themes that emerged.
I'd like to get additional input from everyone in our Biology department specifically, and would especially like to hear from NTT faculty and staff who may not have had a chance to provide input. So regardless of whether you attended Monday's forum or not, if you have other/more ideas to share, please do so with this short Google form so that I may collect all the feedback in one place and share it with the rest of the stakeholders group. Given the accelerated timeline we're unfortunately dealing with, your ideas are appreciated ASAP but no later than January 2nd, so that they may be included in time for the next programming workshop scheduled.
Thank you and Happy Holidays,
Cawa
