Hi all,

Please share with your faculty. Thank you!

As the Writing Center prepares to open for another semester of writing consulting, we’d like to remind you of its services and how we can serve you and your students. The Writing Center’s goal is to make USD’s students more confident and agile writers. We work with students’ writing in any academic discipline at any stage of the writing process. We can aid students in brainstorming, understanding a text or assignment, developing and focusing ideas, organizing information, refining and expanding ideas, and polishing grammar and punctuation. We believe in collaboration, discussion, and process-oriented revision. To that end, we would like to offer a representative from the Writing Center to come to your class and deliver a brief (5-10-minute)  presentation on our services.

If you would like a Writing Center representative to visit your class during the month of February, please write to writingcenter@sandiego.edu with relevant course information: course name, time, location, and number of students in the class. A Writing Center staff member will follow up with you and confirm the date and time of your visit.

Best,
