The position includes assisting with the department's social media accounts, creating flyers, helping with events and other general office duties. Science major, minor or interest preferred but not required. Standard duties include: - General office support: assists with copying/scanning/printing, distributing mail, keeping mailroom organized, answering office phone, and running campus errands - Assisting faculty/adjuncts/students/visitors with general help and answering questions - Creating digital media such as flyers and advertisements for the department’s events - Managing and posting on the department's Instagram and LinkedIn accounts - Assisting with events and seminars - Covering the office when the Executive Assistant is not available Skills Preferred: General office experience is a bonus but not necessary (assistant will be trained as needed). The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of MS office, the Google suite and Canva. Experience or interest in art, graphic design and social media is a plus.
