Dear biology students,

Please see the email below from a USD biology alum about a fundraiser and networking opportunity on May 2, 2026.

Hi Dr. Tran,
I hope all is well! I wanted to ask if you may be able to spread this information/announcement to the bio and the pre-health community at USD?

This is a fundraiser to contribute to the purchase of blood analyzer for IHC free health clinics caring for patients in underserved communities.

Additionally, this is also a great opportunity for networking, as physicians and others involved in research and medicine will be attending. USD students are encouraged to not only enjoy the venue but reach out to people in their field of interest.

  • AYCE Food with $10 donation (tax deductable)
  • Raffle to win prizes
    • $150 gift card to Mr. A's
    • $50 gift cards to parakeet cafe,
    • Apple airpods
    • etc

Please join us for Spring Jam,” a benefit concert hosted at Del Mar Social on May 2nd. Doors will open at 12:45 PM, with performances beginning at 1:00 PM.

This event aims to support a meaningful cause—proceeds will go toward the purchase of an Abbott i-STAT blood analyzer for IHC free health clinics caring for patients in underserved communities. This essential equipment will significantly enhance our point-of-care testing capabilities and allow us to better serve our patients.

Admission is free, and we kindly suggest a $10 donation to enjoy food and beverages while supporting this initiative.

We would be honored to have you join us for an afternoon of music, community, and impact. Please RSVP & share this invitation (attached) with others who may be interested: https://pp.events/bAXgMd4j

We thank you sincerely for your support and involvement within our organization.
