August Web Tip: Catcher - Large File Server
Over the past month, we have noticed that website maintainers are working hard to keep important documents organized. This includes replacing documents, updating links to current files and uploading new documents entirely.
Cascade CMS file limits are 1 MB! When a document larger than 1MB is needed, you can upload it to Catcher, which is University of San Diego's large file server.
It's simple to use and easy to upload large files!
You can upload a variety of new documents, including PDFs, Word docs or larger image files by visiting Catcher, and logging in with your credentials.

Once logged in, you'll see a default account. You can choose an account (if you have access to multiple accounts) and if so, update by selecting the button titled "Change Account."
- Title your file (required).
- Perhaps add a short description (not neccessary, only used for file organization).
- Choose file.
- Link field is only typically used for podcast files (can be ignored).
Once you you have done these steps, a link will appear towards the top of your page.
You can then copy and paste that URL and link to it from your Cascade Server page. You're done!
When using these links on your pages within Cascade, the links are external.
If you have any questions, please let us know via our online web request form.
Thank you,
