April Web Tip: Update Your Website
During the past few weeks, as the university has transistioned to working remotely, updating your web presence has been become even more important to the success of this transition.
What You Should Do:
Now is the time to make sure that the websites you maintain are up-to-date and provide the correct and current information to your users. Providing correct and relevant information is vital to all members of the University's community, including students and parents.
Examples:
- Deleting inaccurate documents that are older than 5 years old - or not being used on web pages.
- Making sure your links to current documents, information and newsletters are correct.
- Review and confirm the contact information - so that users can still access your services and contact your staff.
Workflow Reminder:
As you begin to review and submit edits to the websites you maintain, please keep in mind that every edit goes through workflow. The workflow process allows for content review (from your team) and technical review by University Web Services. We strive to actively review and expedite workflows in technical review, many times a day, but please allow for a 24hr turnaround time.
If there are urgent workflows with time-sensitive content, please submit a web request via our online web request form and we can help expedite.
