About Lawpost
English (USA)

LawPost is a listserv for current USD School of Law employees (faculty, administrators and staff) to post announcements, information and events. Employees must opt-in to this listserv in order to receive these posts and can opt-out at any time.

Share real-time information about law school (and USD) events and announcements.
"I'm going to the CID Sweets Celebration and will leave from the front of Warren Hall at 11:45 a.m. Let me know if you want to join me (reply off list)."
"Our faculty speaker for the Admissions mock class is ill – can any faculty member pinch-hit? We would need you at 10:00 a.m. today and the topic is felony murder."
"Lunchtime workshop ended in WH2A – extra pizza available"
"One of our alums, Ima Fantastica, has been elected senator in Maine! Read about it HERE."

Share opportunities relevant to employees of the law school.
Free Give-aways - Personal property such as furniture, tickets, equipment, books, etc. (FREE!) Office Supplies for other office use. FYI: USD-owned property being given away must be announced by individuals representing the academic or administrative department responsible for the property and does not become personal property.
Requests/Assistance - "I need..." (office supplies, assistance with an event, an outfielder, information about..., a ride to work, assistance finding a lost item) Replies should be off-list to the original sender.
Free or discounted local event information (no selling, even at a loss!)
"San Diego Opera has discounted tickets for USD employees…"
"I have two extra tickets to Comic-Con this weekend and of course they are FREE or I would not be posting my email on this listserv. First to email me gets them!"

Post once per topic (do not send reminders) unless you are providing an update to a request/need for assistance.

Post in compliance with all USD policies (e.g. non-discrimination policy, Code of Ethics)
